Complex Decision Support

Our unique methodology and proven technique for quickly collecting qualitative and quantitative information from multiple stakeholders allows organizations to rapidly identify and prioritize critical issues, compare alternatives, accommodate trade-offs, and make complex decisions in a significantly reduced timeframe.

Through our structured approach and the sophisticated Decision Lens Suite of software, our expert facilitators work with cross functional teams to generate “out-of-the-box” thinking, innovative results, and group consensus.

Collaboration between busy executives across multiple time zones is significantly improved using our web enabled toolset and video conferencing, and the results of these sessions are consolidated and presented in a synthesized, comprehensive, insightful set of reports and action items.

Background on the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Decision Lens

The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was developed in the 1970’s by Dr. Thomas Saaty while he was a professor at the Wharton School of Business and is a mathematically sound representation of the way people think.  The process reduces complex decisions into a series of pair-wise comparisons and provides clear mathematical proof that one selection is better than another. AHP is best suited to solve complex issues that contain functional, financial, social, political, technical, regulatory, and economic factors that require comparisons of management intuition vs.concrete facts with a wide range of risk or uncertainty.

Decision Lens, founded by John Saaty, engages decision makers methodically works through the AHP by the use of the Decision Lens Suite of software - a desktop/web-based software solution that contains an advanced analytics engine, a simplified user interface, and integrated reporting.
